· In isolated areas, place bird feeders and wind chimes on the property to attract more life.
· Warm, toasty interior colors— browns, oranges and reds— can counteract isolation and stark outside terrain.
· Keep beds out of the pathway of sliding-glass or French doors. Too much energy running through a sleeping area can cause illness.
· Energy cannot get up to the second floor when stairs have open risers. Placing lights or plants underneath the stairs can help.
· Build homes of natural materials such as stone and cedar so they will blend with the environment.
· Make sure beds, desks and stoves are not under exposed beams, which can cause headaches, fatigue and illness.
· Placing plants, stained glass or curtains inside, or wind chimes outside, of huge windows can help prevent leakage of energy.
· Chimneys, which represent the home’s throat, should be clean and properly ventilated to prevent occupants from becoming congested.
· Try to keep vacation homes occupied, as energy stagnates in empty homes. Bring in plants and flowers when opening up a home and visualize the stale energy leaving to make room for vibrant new energy.
